Those who know me probably know I collect little action figures Stikfas, Ferrari Lego cars, and many random action figures. I was out window shopping last weekend and came across this new Stikfas, and I just had to get it for Taryn. It's called the Beta Female Pop Star. It's got a electric guitar, keyboard, and etc. Anyway, here it's!!

Busy at work.

Hi All:

Finally I get some break from work thses couple days. Been working really hard this past week, but I haven't got any new project since this Monday. I pretty much just sit on my butt and served internet and chatted with friends. I think I am going to start learning Japanese soon, or maybe French. It all depends on which friend is gonna teach me first.

Other than that, my grandpa is probably close to his final moment of his life. His organs started to fail on my birthday last week. My parents already gave me the final warning that he could go anytime. I think it's probably better for him to go instead of staying on the life supporter forever. He doesn't have a DNR, and I think my grandma will do anything to keep in alive. It's just sad either way.

Anyway, here is a picture to share with you all today. We took this picture at Lotus' birthday party at Bryan's Lake Bowl on May 1st, 2005. Man, did I look chubby on this photo? I am so glad I don't look like that anymore. We definitely have to go there again once I go back!!!

Birthday Boy.

Finally, the special day I have been waiting for 7 years.

It has been 7 years since I celebrate my b-day in my home country. Unfortunately, I had to celebrate this day away from home at the alternative conscription dorm, without my family, girlfriend, good friends of mine, and many many other people that I miss every day of my life. My sister's b-day is today as well, Rick's b-day is tomorrow, Sonja's b-day is coming soon, too. I am soooo going to miss the joined B-day party this year :( . Well, I am going to miss Thanksgiving, Christmas and many many other gatherings. I really miss that, really miss hanging out with you guys. I miss those two kids' noise too ~ Hi Tanner and Hunter. GOOD NEWS for you all, they have shorten the serving time down to 1 year a 6 months now. Hopefully they will have the same law again on Jan 1st 2007. In that case, I will be able to get out by Dec 31th, 2006. I can still go visit you all before winter break end for everyone. Otherwise I will get out on Feb 11th, 2007. I don't think it's that long at all.
I have been working for two days already. Everything went fine, for some reason my boss likes my Chinese writing. I always thought I have really really bad Chinese performance in any sort of way. My family think Taryn has better hand writing than I do. Well, I can't really complain, can I.
I was on duty this past weekend while there was a typhoon passing by, trust me, it was not fun at all. I had to watch the 5th & 8th floor by myself. I was lucky that no window was broken, and the building is still standing tall.

Finally I got my little desk. I happened to be the first one that arrived at the investigated department, so I get to choose a desk first. I decided to choose this one by the window, I think it's got better view than my boss' office. He only gets to see Taipei 101, but I get to see mountains, a famous Chinese style hotel, and the Sky-Walker Temple. I get a little all in one computer, and a huge working space. I am satisfied with my new desk and the view so far.

Starting my job on Monday.

Finally we finished three weeks of training courses, and I also decided which department to go. I choose the investigating department. The reason I decided to go there is because I do not want to waste my time around here at ITC. I will get to help investigating some safeguarding cases, and hopefully I will learn some skills that are not taught at the university. I am also in charge of the alternative conscription affairs. And maybe some random stuff...
My parents came to the graduation lunch last Friday. They visited the office, classroom, and our dorm. While they were in our dorm, many of my friends came up and told them to stop me from folding my blanket like a square tofu everyday. First picture below shows me standing next to my bed (the bottom one) ~ Wait until you see what I was laughing at.

This is what's on the other side of my bed. Tons of my buddies were asking/pleasing my parents to stop me from folding such square blanket. If I keep folding it this way, all of them will probably get yell at for being slacking off. I swear to god, I didn't really try hard to do this. They really make me worry that I might have OCD.....
